The client, a leading contractor success platform, needed automation of environment provisioning to reduce manual effort and eliminate inconsistencies introduced through human intervention.


The existing infrastructure faced limitations in scaling efficiently under increasing workloads while maintaining consistent uptime and performance. Frequent updates and security patching further added to operational overhead and system complexity.

the solution

Forgeahead implemented a cloud-based DevOps framework to automate infrastructure provisioning and standardize environment management across the platform. The solution also introduced container orchestration and automated CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment consistency and scalability.


Infrastructure provisioning was automated using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation, ensuring consistency across environments while significantly reducing manual configuration effort. By adopting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) through Terraform, the team established version-controlled infrastructure definitions, which improved collaboration and simplified infrastructure lifecycle management.


Container orchestration was managed through Kubernetes, enabling efficient handling of dynamic workloads. Deployment processes were streamlined using GitHub Actions, which automated CI/CD pipelines to ensure stable, predictable, and repeatable releases across environments. In parallel, AWS CloudWatch was implemented to provide comprehensive monitoring, including system health tracking, uptime visibility, and security insights across infrastructure components.


Cost optimization was also a key focus, achieved through AWS Compute Savings Plans and efficient resource allocation strategies, allowing the platform to maintain high performance while reducing overall infrastructure expenditure.

Role of AWS

AWS services played a central role in delivering scalability, availability, and security. AWS EC2 and EKS enabled dynamic scaling based on workload demand, ensuring consistent performance even during traffic spikes. AWS Compute Savings Plans supported cost-efficient cloud operations by balancing flexibility with reduced infrastructure spend.


High availability was achieved through a combination of AWS EC2, EKS, and RDS, ensuring uninterrupted platform performance during peak usage periods. Security and observability were reinforced using AWS IAM and CloudWatch, which provided robust access control, monitoring, and compliance visibility across the entire infrastructure.

Tech Stack

The platform utilized a comprehensive and modern technology stack. Compute services included EC2 and Lambda, while database and messaging capabilities were powered by Amazon RDS Aurora PostgreSQL and SNS. Core cloud services included Route 53, CloudWatch, and EKS.


The DevOps ecosystem consisted of GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Terraform, Bitbucket Pipelines, Docker, and SonarQube, enabling efficient automation, orchestration, and quality assurance across the development and deployment lifecycle.
